Shepherd College Wind Ensemble to perform



SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The Shepherd College Wind Ensemble will present its first concert of the season Monday, Feb. 26, at 8 p.m. in the Frank Center Theater for the Creative Arts.

David Drosinos, adjunct professor of clarinet, will be featured playing the Mozart Clarinet Concerto. The concert also will feature works by Sousa, Grainger and others.

The ensemble will travel to Ireland with the Chamber Choir in May. The Monday concert will feature many of the works that they will perform abroad.

This concert also will feature "To Tame the Perilous Skies" by David Holsinger. It is a musical depiction of the United States Air Force in action, a tribute to the men and women who have stood for freedom in service to our country.
