HCC men wrap up with win



LARGO, Md. - Brandon DeShields found Marquinn Jennings on a layup with a minute to play to give Hagerstown Community College the final lead Wednesday night as the Hawks rallied for an 88-85 victory at Prince George's Community College in their regular-season finale.

Eric Branham capped an 18-point, seven-rebound, five-steal game for Hagerstown (26-4) with two free throws with 6 seconds to play. Branham also capped a 12-point rally by the Hawks with a steal and layup for an 82-81 lead with 3:55 to go. The lead changed hands two more times before DeShields' 11 assist of the game to Jennings.

The 26-4 record is the third best regular season mark in school history for Hagerstown, which is now off until the Region XX Tournament on March 3.
