Mary L. Shubert

MONT ALTO, Pa. - Mary L. Shubert, 64, of 7 Main St., died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Chambersburg (Pa.) Hospital.

Born Feb. 2, 1937, in DuBois, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Ronald C. and Mabel A. Pollum Shubert.

She attended DuBois and Rouzerville ,Pa, schools.

She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church, Mont Alto.

She is survived by a son, Richard D. Shubert of Mont Alto; a sister, Dorothy M. Fraker of Chambersburg; an aunt; and an uncle.

Services will be Thursday at 2 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St., Waynesboro. The Rev. Robert L. Basom will officiate. Burial will be in Green Hill Cemetery, Waynesboro.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Eileen M. Sheets

SHARPSBURG - Eileen May Sheets, 84, of Sharpsburg, and formerly of Frederick, Md., died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born April 16, 1916, in Frederick, she was the daughter of the late Merle and Mabel Montgomery Crummitt.

Her husband, Robert T. Sheets, died in 1956.

She was formerly employed by Moose Tailoring Co. in Frederick; and retired from the Frederick Board of Education.

She was a member of Frederick AMVETS Post 2 Ladies Auxiliary.

She is survived by a son, Robert T. Sheets Jr. of Sharpsburg; a granddaughter, Josie Sheets of Sharpsburg; a grandson, Jason Sheets of Sharpsburg; nieces; nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Geraldine Dupont and Claire Smith; and three brothers, Leonard Crummitt, Grayson Crummitt and Merle Crummitt.

Services will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville, Md. The Rev. Tom Hurst will officiate. Burial will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Frederick.

The family will receive friends today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Harald E. Martinson

ANKENY, Iowa - Harald Edward George Martinson, 86, of 1505 NE Grant St., died of cancer Saturday, Feb. 10, 2001, at his home.

He was born Sept. 7, 1914, in Menomonie, Wis.

He retired as an elementary school teacher. He had been a medical editor for Harper and Row Publisher and broker/owner of Olde Town Realty Co. of Hagerstown.

He was a former president of Hagerstown Board of Realtors.

He retired as an officer from the Army Air Force during World War II.

He is survived by two daughters, Georgia Martinson of Martinsburg, W.Va., and Martha Lyon of Charlottesville, N.C.; a son, Harald Martinson II of Winchester, Va.; a sister, Mildred Barnes of Ankeny; a brother, Dr. Jacob C. Martinson of High Point, N.C.; four grandchildren; and caregivers, Paul Barnes and Millie Bagby.

A memorial service will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Ankeny Funeral Home, Ankeny. Burial will be in Little Rock, Ark.

There will be no visitation.

Mary V. Taylor

Mary Virginia Morgan Taylor, 81, of 268 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown, died Monday, Feb. 12, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Dec. 31, 1919, in Union Bridge, Md., she was the daughter of the late Fred and Lovie Susan Strawburg Morgan.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James Taylor.

She was a former employee of Washington County Hospital; and retired from Manbeck Bread Co.

She was a Protestant.

She is survived by cousins; and her caregiver, Doris Obitts of Hagerstown.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 1 p.m. at Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. Carl W. Zinn will officiate.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 19731 Shiloh Church Road, Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Arrangements are by Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.

Catherine M. Davis

Catherine Marie "Bonnie" Davis, 57, of 1024 Noland Drive, died Sunday, Feb. 11, 2001, at her home.

Born Aug. 19, 1943, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Clarence Ellsworth and Ethel Marguerite Baker Frazier.

She was a Protestant.

She is survived by her husband, Ronald Wayne Davis; two daughters, Adalai M. Willard of Hagerstown and Dawn L. Osborne of Williamsport; two sons, John W. Willard Jr. and Randy L. Willard Sr., both of Hagerstown; three sisters, Margo L. Kline, Debra A. Kelbaugh and Dixie L. Moats, all of Hagerstown; four brothers, Charles E. Frazier, Ronald L. Frazier, Ricky L. Frazier and Dwayne A. Frazier, all of Hagerstown; 11 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services will be Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Andrew K. Coffman Funeral Home, 40 E. Antietam St., Hagerstown. The Rev. Gerald D. Harbaugh will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Mary D. Warren, 88, of Village Square, and formerly of 1764 Lincoln Way East, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Village Square.

Born Nov. 11, 1912, in Shippensburg, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Horst Shoop.
