Beekeeping course begins Tuesday night



A beekeeping course will be offered each Tuesday evening for six weeks starting Tuesday at the West Virginia University experimental farm near Kearneysville, W.Va.

The course, which is sponsored by the Eastern Panhandle Beekeepers and Hagerstown Valley Apian Society, will be held from 7 to 9 p.m.

Topics will include Bee biology, basic hive assembly, late winter and spring management, summer and fall management, diseases and pests, a panel discussion and a field day.

The $25 cost includes family members of the same household, membership in HVAS or EPBA, snacks, text book and door prize drawings.
