Irene E. Bradford

STATE LINE, Pa. - Irene Elizabeth Bradford, 83, of State Line, died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, in Laurel, Pa.

Born July 22, 1917, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Dwight Gabe and Alberta Six Gabe.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Bradford.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Cynthia E. Grayson and Karen Irene Meidel; three sons, Donald G. Kephart, Dennis W. Kephart and B. Randall Kephart; 11 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at a later date at Resthaven Funeral Home in Hagerstown.

Memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association, Maryland Chapter, 415 N. Charles St., Baltimore, MD 21203.

Josefine Ott

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Josefine Ott, 91, of United Towers and formerly of Halifax, Pa., died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Manorcare Health Services.

Born March 16, 1909, in Ravensburg, Germany, she was the daughter of the late Johannes and Josepha Halder.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Nicholas Ott, in 1971. They were married in 1933.

She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church, where she was a member of Rosary Society.

She is survived by a son, Arthur N. Ott of Chambersburg; a sister, Dora Weber of Ravensburg; three grandchildren; a great-great-grandson; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a son and a sister.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Corpus Christi Catholic Church. The Rev. Thomas Brenner will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Paul's Stone Church Cemetery in Enola, Pa.

Visitation will be Monday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Robert G. Sellers Funeral Home, 297 Philadelphia Ave. in Chambersburg, where a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m.

Memorial donations may be made to Corpus Christi Church, 320 Philadelphia Ave., Chambersburg, PA 17201.

Eleanor Wilson

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eleanor Wilson, 65, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2001, at her home.

Born Feb. 29, 1935, in Martinsburg, she was the daughter of the late William L. and Mae Jeanette Johns Wilson.

She was a member of Mount Zion United Methodist Church.

She was a member of BPOE Lodge 402 and Pride of Berkeley.

She is survived by two sons, Larry Russell Wilson and Donald Wayne Wilson, both of Martinsburg, and two grandchildren, Anthony James Wilson and Donikia Marie Wilson.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Roberta Leonard.

Services and burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Charles Stanton

CHARLESTON, W.Va. - Charles Stanton, 73, of Charleston and formerly of Charles Town, W.Va., died Sunday, Oct. 15, 2000, at Charleston General Hospital.

Born Nov. 28, 1926, in Parkersburg, W.Va., he was the son of the late Henry and Annie Jones Stanton.

He attended school at The Deaf and Blind Institute in West Virginia with the aide of Ollie Tolbert, his social worker.

He worked at Washington Restaurant as a food service employee. He also was a shoe repairman.

He is survived by three sisters, Agnes McDonald of Charles Town, Mary Brooks of Middleburg, Va., and Margaret Hollingsworth of Atlantic City, N.J., and two brothers, Claude Stanton Sr. of Ranson, W.Va., and William Stanton of Martinsburg.

He was preceded in death by four sisters, Virginia Davenport, Carrie Jackson, Anna Morris and Ruth Curry, and four brothers, Robert Stanton, Clarence Stanton, Samuel Stanton and Thomas Randolph Jones.

Services were held Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2000, at Cunningham-Parker-Johnson Funeral Home in Charleston. Burial was in Teays Valley Memorial Gardens in Winfield, W.Va.

Rose M. Hilpert

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Rose M. Hilpert, 64, of Martinsburg, died Saturday, Feb. 3, 2001, at her home.

Born July 5, 1936, in New York City, she was the daughter of the late James and Eleanor Hopkins Cobb.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Horst H. Hilpert Sr.

She was a social worker at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg.

She was a member of the National Social Workers Association.

She is survived by two sons, Kurt G. Hilpert of Charles Town, W.Va., and Horst H. Hilpert II of State College, Pa.; three grandchildren; and a close friend, James Chambers.

A memorial service will be Sunday at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center Chapel in Martinsburg. Chaplain Steven Jenks will officiate.

Burial will be private.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Albert S. Branca

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - A memorial service for Retired Platoon Sgt. Albert S. "Al" Branca, 73, of 8296 Sheffield Manor, who died Thursday, Feb. 8, 2001, will be Sunday at 9 p.m. at Grove-Bowersox Funeral Home, 50 S. Broad St. in Waynesboro. The service will be conducted by members of BPO Elks Lodge 731 of Waynesboro.

Viola E. Hunt

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Viola E. Hunt, 96, of Martinsburg, died Friday, Feb. 9, 2001, at Heartland of Martinsburg.

Born Oct. 14, 1904, in Knoxville, Md., she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Margaret Leopold Runkles.
