Camp Round Meadow to host health fair

THURMONT, Md. - Catoctin Mountain Park invites employees of the National Park Service and other government agencies, members of the Tri-State Safety Council and the general public to participate in a health and safety fair Tuesday, Feb. 13, at Camp Round Meadow. In case of inclement weather, a snow date of Friday, Feb. 16, is planned. The fair will run from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Admission is free.

More than 30 exhibitors will be on hand to demonstrate their niche in the safety community, displaying safety products for all age ranges and a variety of occupations. The fair will showcase safety equipment used by professionals, but can benefit everyone who works with or around mechanized equipment. This also will be an opportunity to see how rescuers train from confined space and technical rescue, and to meet the dogs and handlers that help them locate victims. Smokey Bear is planning to visit, and door prizes will be distributed. Free blood pressure screening by Corporate Occupational Health Solutions will be offered.
