McHENRY, Md. - Point guard Emily Middlekauff had 17 points, five steals and five assists as Hagerstown Community College never trailed against Garrett Community College in a 73-68 victory in the Maryland JuCo.

Brooke Russ had 19 points and 12 assists for the Hawks (16-7, 10-4). Rachel Bachtell had 14 points and five steals, while Robin Curley had 10 points. HCC had 43 rebounds, led by Vennece Fowlkes' 14.

Garrett closed to within a point with 5 minutes to play before the Hawks went back to full court pressure and extended the lead back to 11.
