The Myerses

Richard and Doris Myers of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Jan. 13, at the Old Country Buffet in York, Pa. The dinner was hosted by their daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Ed Keedy.

The Myerses were married Jan. 13, 1951, in Silver Run, Pa., in Mr. Myers' home.

Mrs. Myers is the former Doris Schensky. She is a homemaker.

Mr. Myers is employed as a credit manager by Supreme Concrete Block in Hagerstown.

The Ebersoles

Mr. and Mrs. Gerald L. Ebersole of Clear Spring were honored Sunday, Dec. 10, at a dinner at Four Points Hotel Sheraton in Hagerstown celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. It was hosted by their four children and spouses, Dorothy and Fred Younker, Geraldine and Forrest Sprecher, Paul and Robinn Ebersole, and Richard and Linda Ebersole.

The Ebersoles received a Christmas centerpiece, and a matching corsage and boutonniere.

The Ebersoles also were honored at a family get-together at their home Sunday, Dec. 31. Refreshments included a three-tiered anniversary cake.


Mr. and Mrs. Ebersole were married Dec. 25, 1940, at First Brethren Church in Hagerstown by the Rev. William H. Beachler.

Mrs. Ebersole is the daughter of the late Mary Elizabeth Mowen and Paul Ellsworth Crawford McNamee.

Mr. Ebersole is the son of the late Dorothy E. Moore and Roy L. Ebersole.

The Ebersoles owned and operated Ebersole's Hardware in Clear Spring from 1945 to 1953, and Ebersole's Plumbing and Appliances on U.S. 40 east of Clear Spring from 1953 until their retirement in 1985.

They have eight granddaughters, two grandsons, nine great-granddaughters and six great-grandsons.

The Daglianos

Mr. and Mrs. Aubrey V. Dagliano of Hagerstown celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Dec. 30, 2000, by renewing their vows at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Halfway.

The ceremony was followed by a formal reception in the church hall hosted by their sons and spouses, Keith and Norine Dagliano, and Kevin and Nanette Dagliano, and their grandchildren. Nearly 100 guests attended the event, which included a buffet and dancing. A video scrapbook was given to the Daglianos.

The Daglianos were married Dec. 30, 1950, in Richmond, Va.

They are both retired, and volunteer at St. Joseph Church, Hospice of Washington County and Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.
