31 sex offenders registered in Washington County

Thirty-one people registered as sex offenders are living in Washington County, according to Maryland's Crimes Against Children and Sex Offenders Registry.
Twenty live in Hagerstown, four in Williamsport, three in Clear Spring, two in Boonsboro and one each in Hancock and Sharpsburg.
One person lives in Allegany County and works in Hancock.
Another person lives in Knoxville in Frederick County, but is registered in Washington County.
Twenty-three of the 47 offenders registered in Frederick County have addresses in Frederick.
Four are in Brunswick, three in Ijamsville, two each in Middletown and Woodsboro and one apiece in Thurmont, Myersville, Jefferson, Walkersville, Adamstown, Monrovia, Mount Airy, New Market, New Midway and Fort Detrick.
Two people in Baltimore and one in Montgomery County are also registered in Frederick County.
Another offender lives in Montgomery County but works in Frederick County.
Almost all of the registrants are considered child sex offenders.
