WYE MILLS, Md. - Hagerstown Community College got a 20-win season for the 19th time in 22 years when the Hawks won a defensive battle against the Chesapeake Skipjacks 60-49 on Wednesday.

Gebront Gaddy had team-high totals of 12 points and 19 rebounds for HCC (20-4). Eric Branham added 11 points, including three 3-pointers, while Jerome Goodman had 10 points for the Hawks. Mark Jennings grabbed 11 rebounds, while Brandon DeShields had seven assists.

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Danielle Costello scored a game-high 17 points to lead Middletown over Boonsboro in the MVAL.

Kim Waeber added 11 points and five steals, while Jenna House had 10 points and four assists for Middletown (14-2, 11-1). Abbie Warner grabbed eight rebounds and Katie Moore had six.

Sarah Harrah led Boonsboro with 11 points.

The Hubs took advantage of their size to control the boards and handily defeat Clear Spring.

Amanda McGhee scored 18 points and had six rebounds, three assists and three steals to leade North (5-8). Autumn Parson had 12 points and 10 rebounds, Allison Hammond had 12 boards, Katie Stamper had six and Ashley Mason pulled down five with five assists.

Amber Pearl led Clear Spring (2-13) with 10 points.
