Marijuana, money seized in Waynesboro drug raid


WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Two pounds of marijuana, $100,000 in cash, a stolen gun and three vehicles were seized Wednesday in a Franklin County Drug Task Force raid on two rental garages and a Main Street home.

The raid led to the arrest of Van Dorn Palmer III, 50, of 48 W. Main St., Waynesboro, according to Trooper Christian Fow of the Pennsylvania State Police.

Palmer was being held at the Franklin County Prison Thursday evening on $35,000 bond, authorities said.

Officers served the search warrants, one at the home and the others at the Waynesboro area rental garages.

The street value of the seized marijuana was estimated at $3,500.

All-terrain vehicles taken from Fulton County home


McCONNELLSBURG, Pa. - Two all-terrain vehicles were reported stolen Monday from a home at 3060 Stoneybreak Road in Fulton County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The four-wheelers were last seen traveling south on Stoneybreak Road, according to Trooper Brent Culler.

One ATV is a 1998 gray/blue Yamaha Warrior while the other is a 1989 red and white Honda.
