Tuesday's boys roundup

* BASKETBALL

WARFORDSBURG, Pa - Will Whiteside's tip-in with .9 seconds to play capped a furious run to close the game and give No. 8 Southern Fulton a dramatic 61-60 victory over Bishop Walsh Tuesday night.

The Indians (12-2) were down by eight points with 1:30 remaining and they fought back to within one with seven seconds left. Bishop Walsh's Nick George, who finished the game with 26 points, went to the free throw line and missed the front end of a one-and-one.

The Indians got the rebound and got one quick shot off that missed, but Whiteside went high to grab the rebound and put the ball in with one motion to steal the victory.

Dustin Wills led Southern Fulton with 20 points and Brandon Steach, who hit a key three-pointer down the stretch, added 10. Marshall Mills snared nine boards.
