Ida M. Johnson

BOONSBORO - In lieu of flowers, memorial donations for Ida Mae Johnson, 86, of 8215 Mapleville Road, and formerly of Pikesville, Md., who died Saturday, Jan. 20, 2001, may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Mary E. Toole

SOUTH MOUNTAIN, Pa. - Mary E. Toole, 92, of South Mountain Restoration Center, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at the center.

She was born May 19, 1908.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Friday at 2 p.m. in the auditorium at South Mountain Restoration Center. The Rev. Joseph Carolin will be celebrant. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery in Waynesboro, Pa.

Visitation will be Friday at 1:45 p.m. at the restoration center.

Arrangements are by Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, Chambersburg, Pa.




Margaret E. Dickson

Margaret Elizabeth Dickson, 87, of 1314 Potomac Ave., Hagerstown, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at her home.

Born May 27, 1913, in Westfield, N.J., she was the daughter of the late John and Margaret Bennett Dickson.

She had been employed by Borden's Milk Co. for 38 years; and retired from Muhlenberg Hospital after 10 years.

She had volunteered for the Washington County Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Dickson, Bertha Young and Mabel Seal; and two brothers, John Dickson and Tommy Dickson.

Graveside services will be Monday at 11 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Plainfield, N.J. The Rev. David Quiring will officiate.

There will be no viewing or visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Rescue Service, 110 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown, MD 21742.

Arrangements are by Douglas A. Fiery Funeral Home, 1331 Eastern Blvd. North, Hagerstown.




Elaine T. Hall

Elaine Tucker Hall, 66, of 10502 Bushwillow Way, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2001, at Beverly Health Care Center in Hagerstown.

Born Jan. 9, 1935, in Frederick County, Md., she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Thelma Zecker Tucker.

She had worked in the personnel office at Fort Detrick in Frederick, Md.

She was a member of St. John the Evengelist Roman Catholic Church in Frederick.

She is survived by her husband, George P. Hall; a sister, Doris Testa of Ohio; two brothers, Wayne Tucker of Jefferson, Md. and Merhle Tucker of Damascus, Md.; nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be Friday at 1 p.m. at St. Marks Cemetery in Petersville, Md. The Rev. Wayne G. Funk will officiate.

There will be no visitation.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.

Arrangements are by Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, Frederick.




Bret S. Claypool

BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Bret Scot Claypool, 42, of Berkeley Springs, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, at his home.

Born April 16, 1958, in Berkeley Springs, he was the son of John Hugh and Flossie Elizabeth Hovermale Claypool of Berkeley Springs.

He attended Berkeley Springs High School.

He worked as an aircraft mechanic and plastics specialist with Tiger Aircraft in Martinsburg, W.Va.

He was a Protestant.

He was a member of Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 1483 in Berkeley Springs.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one daughter, Kelly Lynn Shambaugh of Berkeley Springs; one son, Christopher Scot Claypool of Berkeley Springs; one sister, Martha Ann Clingerman of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his companion, Elaine Malinowski Francis of Berkeley Springs; one grandson; and nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Helsley-Johnson Funeral Home, 306 Union St., Berkeley Springs, where services will be held at 8:30 p.m. Burial will be private.




Catherine D. Reichard

Catherine Dawson Reichard, 85, of 1315 Oak Hill Ave., Hagerstown, who died Monday, Jan. 22, 2001, is survived by a son, G. Thomas Coleman of Hedgesville, W.Va.




Willow G. Dickinson

Willow Grace Dickinson, 65, of Windsor Drive, Hagerstown, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2001, at Washington County Hospital.

Born July 24, 1935, in Cumberland, Md., she was the daughter of the late Worthington and Blanch Suder Kline.

She was a 1954 graduate of Alleghany High School in Cumberland and a 1957 graduate of Memorial Hospital School of Nursing in Cumberland.

She was a registered nurse and had worked in Washington County health care facilities for 20 years.

She was a member of Haven Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by her husband of 43 years, John "Jack" M. Dickinson Sr.; a daughter, Kimberly Jarvis of Landover, Md.; two sons, John M. Dickinson Jr. and Jeffrey Dickinson, both of Hagerstown; a brother, Leon Kline of Myersdale, Pa.; six grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Services will be Thursday at 11 a.m. at Haven Lutheran Church, 1035 Haven Road in Hagerstown. The Rev. Torben Aarsand will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.
