ROCKINGHAM, N.C. - Naomi Mason scored a season-high 16 points Saturday, making 4 of 6 attempts from 3-point range, as Hagerstown Community College defeated Rockingham for the second time this season with a 73-54 victory.

Brooke Russ had a double-double with 18 points and 11 rebounds for the Hawks (10-6). Vennece Fowlkes led the team with 12 rebounds.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - Makia Staves scored only six points but notched four of them in an important 10-0 run in the first half to lift Shepherd College to a West Virginia Intercolligiate Athletic Conference win over the University of Charleston.

With the game tied at 17-17, the Rams (13-4, 9-1) started the run which lasted 4:40, which led to a 33-32 halftime advantage.

Cassie Murray led Shepherd with 16 points and 11 rebounds.

SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. - The University of Charleston took a step forward as the frontcourt combination of Kalan Smith and Carl Edwards combined for 27 of their 37 points in the first half to lead the Golden Eagles to a West Virginia Intercolligate Athletic Conference victory over Shepherd College.

Edwards scored 15 while Smith and guard Derek Jones added 12 each in the first 20 minutes as Charleston (9-5, 5-1) took over after a 7-7 tie to blow out to a 52-29 halftime lead.

Keith Davis, making his first start for the Rams (6-6, 3-5) , led Shepherd with 20 points and nine rebounds while Antar Parkman finished with 12. Shepherd hit just 35 percent of its shots, including a meager 3 of 21 from 3-point range.

NEWVILLE, Pa. - Jefferson scored wins in three relay events to win the Big Springs Relay.

The team of Chris Hare, Jason Miller, Louis Strube, Michael Kimpel won the 800-yard freestyle relay in a meet record 8:29.32. Missy Hill, Jessie Carner, Jade Zagarella, Missy Lancaster he girls 800 relay in 4:24.90. Jefferson's team of Jade Zagarella, Missy Lancaster, Louis Strube, Michael Kimpel took the 500 co-ed freestyle relay in 5:10.31.
