COLUMBIA, Md. - After a sluggish first half, Hagerstown Community College outscored host Howard Community College by 30 points in the second half en route to a 63-29 victory.

No Hawk player scored in double digits but Robin Curley scored all of her seven in the second half as HCC pulled awasy after leading 21-17 at halftime. Emily Middlekauff scored back-to-back buckets early in the second half to help ignite HCC (8-5). Brooke Russ led the Hawks with nine rebounds.

PHILLIPI, W.Va. - Gail Siemer scored 14 points and grabbed 13 rebounds to lead Shepherd over Alderson-Broaddus in a West Virginia Conference game.

Siemer hit on 6 of 12 shots in 22 minutes of action.

Barb Oller added 12 points, 10 from the free throw line, and Ashana Cowans chipped in 10 for Shepherd (11-4, 8-1).

PHILIPPI, W.Va. - Antar Parkman scored 21 points as Shepherd outscored Alderson-Broaddus 13-10 in overtime.

Shepherd (6-4, 3-2 West Virginia Conference) blew a 40-23 halftime lead. Alderson-Broaddus (7-5, 1-4) outscored the Rams 45-28 in the second half.

Kenny Cox added 14 points and Demond Tapscott had 10 for Shepherd.

Broadfording had trouble hanging onto the ball in the first half, faltering against Hedgesville's pressure, to fall behind 33-18 in the first half and waste a 37-point, 18-rebound performance by Vanessa Ruffin.

Kim Grove scored eight of her 13 points in the first half to lead the Eagles (6-3) to the big lead.

Broadfording (9-6) played without point guard B'nai Holt, who missed the game because of illness.

Laura Windle led Hedgesville with 13 points while Megan Bloomer added 12.

BOONSBORO - Morgan Main scored nine of her 12 points in the third quarter and Liz Smith added nine of her game-high 27 in the fourth to help the Warriors (5-5) shake off the Blazers. Smith finished with 16 rebounds while Main dished off seven assists and had seven steals.
