TOWSON, Md. - A day's wait did nothing for St. Maria Goretti.

The No. 3 Gaels fell behind by 19 after the first quarter and never recovered in their first Baltimore Catholic League loss of the season, 68-45 to Towson Catholic on Saturday.

Matt Tanner had 16 points for Goretti (11-4, 2-1).

BOONSBORO - Domonique Richmond's 3-pointer with just over a minute to play gave the Rebels the final lead in a late Friday night game in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League.

Boonsboro (5-5, 2-5) led by as many as 10 at halftime and trailed by six in the third quarter, only to retake the lead late before falling. Justin Malott had 15 points to lead four Warriors in double figures.

Richmond finished with 23 points for the Rebels (8-2, 6-1), who finished just 6-for-20 at the free-throw line. Mike Lee scored a game-high 26 points for South.
