Help sought finding missing local girl, 14

When North Hagerstown High School let out around 1:30 p.m. Friday because of an early dismissal, Sierra Routzahn wasn't on her bus.

The 14-year-old honor student hasn't returned home or been seen since, said her parents, Bob and Michelle.

"She's never done anything like this before," said Michelle Routzahn Saturday as she distributed fliers around the area trying to help locate her daughter. "We were out until 1 a.m. looking for her."

The Routzahns reported their daughter missing to the Washington County Sheriff's Department. Deputy Jay Mills is handling the investigation.

Sierra is 5 feet 6 inches tall, 130 pounds, with light brown hair that has blond highlights. She has bangs and wears her hair in a low ponytail.

Each of her ears is pierced four times - three on the lobe and one on top of the ear.

She was last seen wearing blue jeans, brand new Nike air sneakers and a baby blue ski jacket. She was carrying a gray Jansport book bag.
