Donna L. Williams

WILLIAMSPORT - Donna L. Williams, 89, of 16505 Virginia Ave., died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at Homewood Retirement Center.

Born April 21, 1911, in Napoleon, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late James B. and Anna Monroe Sisk.

Her husband, Robert G. Williams, died in 1986.

She was a graduate of Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha X I Delta.

She was a retired school teacher who taught French at John Adams Junior High School in Charleston, W.Va.

She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Hagerstown.

She is survived by a daughter, Kathryn W. Marks of Hagerstown; a son, Robert G. Williams Jr. of Largo, Fla.; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be held Tuesday at 1 p.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, Hagerstown. The Rev. Patrick A. Pierce will officiate.

Graveside services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at the Mound Cemetery, Marietta.

Arrangements are by Gerald N. Minnich Funeral Home, 305 N. Potomac St., Hagerstown.




Harry H. McMaster

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Harry H. McMaster, 59, of 1573 Warm Spring Road, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at Chambersburg Hospital.

Born March 17, 1941, in Salem, Mass., he was the son of the late Orman and Gladys A. Beckwitch McMaster.

Prior to his illness, he had been a superintendent for Perini Construction.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He attended St. James United Brethren Church, Chambersburg.

He was a member of American Legion Post 46 in Chambersburg.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Wilson McMaster, whom he married July 29, 1962; two daughters, Lorrie Souders and Gladys I. Walls, both of Chambersburg; two sons, Timothy W. McMaster and Gregory L. McMaster, both of Chambersburg; three sisters, Donna M. Clark of Salem, Joyce M. Gervasio of Chambersburg, and Ellen L. Hoctor of Danver, Mass.; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Alvin E. McMaster.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Ltd., 725 Norland Ave., Chambersburg. The Rev. Mike Rockwell will officiate. Burial will be in Norland Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home, which will be open after 2 p.m., and there will be a visitation Wednesday one hour prior to the services.




Ruth A. Yeager

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - Ruth Angle Yeager, 85, of 408 Twin Bridge Road, died Saturday, Jan. 6, 2001, at her home.

Born Jan. 18, 1915, in Claylick, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Stella Smith Angle.

She was a homemaker.

She was a member of Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Chambersburg.

She is survived by her husband, Fred Ernst Yeager, whom she married July 16, 1941; three daughters, Dorothy Yeager and Ruth Ann Martin, both of Chambersburg, and Sarah Keith of Fayetteville, N.C.; two sons, Harold Yeager of St. Thomas, Pa., and Galen Yeager of Chambersburg; two sisters, Beulah Angle of Greencastle; Pa., and Sarah Jane Horst of Cearfoss; a brother, Robert Angle of Greencastle; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Chester Yeager; two sisters, Hazel Gerhart and Vera Zeger; four brothers, Lloyd Angle, Clayton Angle, Roy Angle and John Angle.

Services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at Pleasant View Mennonite Church, Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg. The Revs. Allen and Aldus Lehman will officiate. Burial will be in the adjoining church cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home Inc., 6492 Lincoln Way West, St. Thomas, which will be open after 2 p.m. There will be a visitation Tuesday one hour prior to the services at the church.

The family requests the omission of flowers and that memorial contributions may be made to Pleasant View Mennonite Church, 346 Warm Spring Road, Chambersburg, PA 17201.




Bessie A. Hill

Bessie A. Hill, 93, a former resident of Hancock, and a long-term resident of Colton Villa Nursing Center and Beverly Health Care Enterprises, Hagerstown, died Sunday, Jan. 7, 2001, at the Center.

Born Dec. 29, 1907, in Morgan County, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late James H. Sr. and Anna Brady Montgomery.

Her husband, Jack O. Hill, died in 1975.

She was a graduate of Hancock High School and a graduate of the School of Nursing, City Hospital, Martinsburg, W.Va.

She was a member of St. Thomas' Episcopal Church in Hancock.

She is survived by a son, Jack O. Hill Jr. of Hancock; three grandchildren; Jack O. Hill III, Anna Victoria Hill-Dobbins and Charmane Marion Hill, all of Hagerstown; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Grace Manning and Mabel Montgomery; three brothers, James H. Montgomery Jr., Hayes E. Montgomery and Percy A. Montgomery.

Services will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Grove Funeral Home, 141 W. Main St., Hancock. The Rev. F. Allan Weatherholt Jr. will officiate. Burial will be in St. Thomas' Episcopal Cemetery, 2 E. High St., Hancock.
