Mail Call for 1/3

"Recently, I read an article in the paper in which it was stated that seniors do not pay taxes. That is wrong! I am in my 80s and in the last 17 years my taxes have gone up 56 percent and my condo fees have gone up 65 percent. Even seniors in subsidized rental units indirectly pay taxes because the owner pays the taxes, but the tenants are the ones who pay the land owner."

"I think police officers should be allowed to pull anyone over at anytime and issue them a ticket. There are too many crazy people out there driving, too many people who don't care about each other."

"I am interested in getting into a religious singing group, first or second soprano. Leave a number in Mail Call and I will get back with you."

"For the person who said about police officers and saying that they are only on duty eight hours a day. That is not true, they are on duty 24 hours a day, they can be called out on emergencies any time of the day. I know because my son-in-law is a police officer."

"I want to wish Shanda a happy New Year from Norma."

"A message for Tony, you know who you are and you know who this is from. You have captured my heart ever since I have met you. It has been over a year. I still haven't forgotten you. With all my love, your secret admirer."

"I want to report a small ladies gold ring found at Food Lion by Spicher's in the North End. Call 301-745-3588."

"I would like to know if anyone in the Hagerstown or surrounding area sells Watkins Products. Leave your number in Mail Call and I will get back with you."

"To my sunshine from your teddy bear. I want to wish you a Merry Christmas, a happy birthday and a happy New Year. I am sorry that I am not with you at this time, but I will be with you in a few days. Love you, your cuddly teddy bear."

"I want to thank my three sons and two daughter-in-laws for a wonderful Christmas. I will probably have to get a Mack truck to go pick up my gifts."

"Got a wonderful New Year's card from the State of Maryland. Get your vehicle, VEIP tested, by the end of February. That is a nice thing to have just after the holidays."
