Shooting victim still in critical condition

A Hagerstown man remained in critical condition at Washington County Hospital Tuesday after being shot several times Sunday, according to a nursing supervisor and Hagerstown City Police.

Eric Dameron Campbell, of 439 N. Mulberry St., was found lying on his back in his front doorway Sunday at 5:11 a.m., police said.

Police said he had been shot by an unidentified black man, about 35 years old with a tall, thin build.

Stabbing victim in critical condition

A teenager stabbed in a dispute on North Jonathan Street Monday was listed in critical condition at Washington County Hospital Tuesday, a supervisor said.

Ivern Janette Noble, 16, of 310 N. Jonathan St., was stabbed in the upper leg with a knife at 4:45 a.m. Monday, police said.


Police charged Julie Ann Park, 21, of 716 W. Franklin St., Hagerstown with attempted murder, reckless endangerment, first and second-degree assault and carrying a concealed weapon.

Park was being held on $100,000 bond Tuesday evening.

Md. SUV may be hit-and-run vehicle

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - West Virginia State Police were working with authorities in Maryland to zero in on a green SUV with Maryland tags that may have been involved in a hit-and-run accident early Monday outside a bar.

Trooper J.R. Garnes said Tuesday that the victim, a man in his 20s, sustained a broken leg in the 4 a.m. incident at The Tunnel Club and was taken to City Hospital in Martinsburg, where he underwent surgery.

The bar is along W.Va. 9 east of Martinsburg along Pine Hill Lane.
