Boonsboro wins Rocky's Shootout

EMMITTSBURG, Md. - Adam Miller scored 23 points as Boonsboro dominated the first three quarters on Friday to defeat Catoctin 68-48 in the championship game of the Rocky's Pizza Shootout at Mount Saint Mary's Knott Arena.

The Warriors owned a 41-28 lead at the half and sealed the game with a 14-4 run in the third quarter.

Justin Malott added 11 points for Boonsboro.

Brian Boyer had 10 points to lead Catoctin (1-5) whileVince Shirbach had eight rebounds.

THURMONT, Md. - Smithsburg took advantage of a 21-4 second quarter to overwhelm New Life Christian and win the consolation game of the Rocky's Pizza Shootout.

Apollo Bey and Danny Young each scored 14 points as Smithsburg (4-3), while Corey Brown added 12 points.

Zach Kibby had 19 points for New Life.

FAIRMONT, W.Va. - Adama Diggs scored 12 of his 16 points as St. John's-Prospect Hall outscored North Marion 21-5 in the second quarter and went on to claim a victory in the consolation bracket of the West Virginia Shootout.

Aaron White had 14 points, including four straight free throws in the final 15 seconds to seal the win for St. John's. Carlos Martinez added 10 points and 10 rebounds.

BRUNSWICK, Md. - Brunswick scored its first win of the season as Kacie Escamilia had 13 points and 15 rebounds to lead Railroaders over South Carroll in the consolation game of the Brunswick Holiday Tournament.

Margaret Clotter added 11 points for Brunswick (1-4) while Dana Shock had nine points and six steals. Brunswick held South Carroll to two points in the first quarter and only eight points in the firsth half and then held on for the victory.
