Wanda A. Chelmey

WILLIAMSPORT - Wanda Ann Chelmey, 83, who died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, resided at 10604 Harry Heth Road and is survived by two sons, Donald E. Chelmey of Zephry Hills, Fla. and Ronald J. Chelmey of Dallas, Ga.

Zoey R. Tripp

WAYNESBORO, Pa. - Zoey Rose Tripp, infant daughter of Staff Sgt. Chad M. and Julie K. Kvistero Tripp of 136 S. Church St., died Thursday, Dec. 21, 2000, at Bethesda Naval Hospital in Bethesda, Md.

She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Detroit Lakes, Minn.

She is survived by paternal grandmother, Adrienne Tripp of Lennox, S.D.; maternal grandparents, Orlan and Joann Kvistero of Detroit Lakes; and uncles, aunts and cousins.


She was preceded in death by paternal grandfather, Ronald Tripp.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Germantown Cemetery in Lennox, S.D.

Marion E. Hannaford

KEARNEYSVILLE, W.Va. - Marion E. Hannaford, 72, of Kearneysville, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg, W.Va.

Born Dec. 27, 1928, in Boston, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Marion MacLaughlin Boudreau.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Hannaford.

She is survived by a sister, Shirley Seaman of Everett, Mass.; and a brother, Alexander Boudreau of Kearneysville.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Doris West and her twin, Irene Iwanicki.

A memorial service will be held at a later date in Everett.

Arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.

Molly D. Batt

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Molly Dietz Batt, 79, of Martinsburg, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Feb. 2, 1921, in Dickinson, N.D., she was the daughter of the late Fred F. and Anna Bray Dietz.

A veteran of World War II, she served in the U.S. Army Air Force.

She is survived by her husband, Carroll E. Batt; two sons, Michael C. Batt of Laurel, Md. and Robert L. Batt of Baltimore; five sisters; a brother, and three grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at South Berkeley Chapel in Inwood, W.Va.

Burial will be private.

At her request, there will be no viewing.

Juanita E. Brown

Juanita Emma Brown, 79, of Colton Villa Nursing Home in Hagerstown, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at the home.

Born April 26, 1921, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Amos S. and Ida S. Metz Jones.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Albert Brown, in 1998.

She retired from Stanley Manufacturing Co. in Chambersburg, Pa.

She was a member and past president of VFW 1936 Auxiliary; and past president of Military Order of Cooties Auxiliary.

She is survived by a stepdaughter, Anna Marie Horst of Boonsboro; nine stepgrandchildren; and three stepgreat-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, James Vernon Matvay.

There will be no services or viewing.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.

George Bradley

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - George Bradley, 81, of 14398 Greenview Drive, died Thursday, Dec. 28, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Jan. 16, 1919, in Baltimore, he was the son of the late Howard Joseph and Ruth Nida Addis Bradley.

He was self-employed.

He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II.

He was of the Catholic faith.

He is survived by his former wife, Sharon A. Stokes Bradley of Greencastle; three daughters, Georgette Bradley of Sunset Beach, Fla., Ruth Martin of Cross Junction, Va. and Angela Addis Bradley of Greencastle; two sons, George Bradley of West Palm Beach, Fla. and Robert Bradley of Rochester, Minn.; seven grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at Rest Haven Funeral Chapel, 1601 Pennsylvania Ave. in Hagerstown. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Michael J. Twigg

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Michael J. "Mike" Twigg, 51, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Winchester (Va.) Medical Center.

Born Dec. 29, 1948, in Martinsburg, he was the son of Sarah Ashton Twigg Spitler of Martinsburg and the late Forrest Clifford Twigg.

He attended Martinsburg High School.

He formerly owned and operated City Cab in Martinsburg. Most recently, he was the owner of Suzy Q D.J. and Karaoke.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

He was of the West View Baptist faith.

He was a member of Newton D. Baker Post 896 VFW; and Martinsburg Eagles Club Post 4179.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 33 years, Susan Irvin Twigg; a son, Petty Officer Michael J. Twigg of Woodbridge, Va.; two sisters, Patricia Bivons and Paula Twigg, both of Martinsburg; four brothers, Vernon Twigg, Glenville Twigg and Kenny Twigg, all of Martinsburg, and Forrest Twigg of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two granddaughters; nieces; nephews; aunts and uncles.

Services will be Saturday at 3 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Raymond Martin will officiate.

Burial will be private.
