Frances E. Stuckey

QUINCY, Pa. - Frances E. Hart Trumpower Stuckey, 89, of Quincy United Methodist Home, and formerly of West Fourth Street in Waynesboro, Pa., who died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, is survived by four brothers, Franklin Hart of Big Pool, Md., Orville Hart, Harry Hart and Joseph Hart, all of Hagerstown.

Emma C. Wisherd

Emma Catherine Wisherd, 93, of 333 Mill St. in Hagerstown, and formerly of 11 W. Baltimore St., who died Sunday, Dec. 24, 2000, attended Easter Seals Break-A-Way.

She is survived by 10 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Ruth Cullison.

Gigi Gordan

GEORGIA - Gigi Gordan, of Georgia and formerly of Charles Town, W.Va. and Shepherdstown, W.Va., died Thursday, Nov. 30, 2000, in Georgia.

A memorial service will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at St. John's Episcopal Church, 898 Washington St. in Harpers Ferry, W.Va. The Rev. Victor F. Lawson will officiate. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery in Bolivar, W.Va.

Lyle G. Shearer

WOODBURY, N.J. - Services for Lyle G. Shearer, of Woodbury, who died Saturday, Dec. 23, 2000, will be Friday at 10 a.m. at John L. Agett Funeral Home, 18875 Main St. in Dry Run, Pa. The Rev. Kenneth Osborne will officiate. Burial will be in Upper Path Valley Cemetery in Dry Run.

The family will receive friends Friday at 9 a.m. at the funeral home.

Charles M. Griffith

Charles "Chuck" Martin Griffith, 71, of 212 Willard St., died Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2000, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Towson, Md.

Born Aug. 19, 1929, in Bakerton, W.Va., he was the son of the late Martin Raymond and Florence Lillian Kidwiler Griffith.

His wife, Florence D. Griffith, died May 21, 1993.

He retired from Victor Products; and previously was employed by Hagerstown Farm Market and Forsyth's Furniture.

He had been a member of Eagles 694, Hagerstown Moose, Red Men Club and Owls Club.

He is survived by seven stepgrandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren; a nephew and cousins.

He was preceded in death by two stepsons, Anthony F. Tezak and Eugene W. Traino.

Services will be Friday at 11 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown. The Rev. Arnold F. Brown will officiate. Burial will be in Cedar Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends Friday at the funeral home at 10 a.m.

Wanda A. Chelmey

WILLIAMSPORT - Wanda Ann Chelmey, 83, of 10604 Harry Hoth Road, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Homewood Retirement Center in Williamsport.

Born April 8, 1917, in Portland, Maine, she was the daughter of the late John and Anna Jasinski Lobach.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hess Chelmey, in 1997.

She was a homemaker.

She was a Protestant.

She is survived by two sons, Donald E. Chelmey of Zephry Hill, Fla. and Ronald J. Chelmey of Dallas, Ga.; six grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a sister and two brothers.

Private graveside services will be in Rest Haven Cemetery. The Rev. A. Paul Harne will officiate.

The family requests the omission of flowers.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Washington County, 101 E. Baltimore St., Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Arrangements are by Osborne Funeral Home, Williamsport.

Donald R. Clemons

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Donald R. Clemons, 65, of Martinsburg, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at City Hospital in Martinsburg.

Born Nov. 23, 1935, in Pittsburgh, he was the son of the late Bruce and Hazel Slonaker Clemons.

He worked at Corning Glass Works, and in 1981 was elected as an international representative of the American Flint Glass Workers Union, retiring in 1999.

He was a member of Martinsburg Lodge 120 Loyal Order of Moose; and Berkeley Post 14 American Legion.

He is survived by his wife, Jayne Moran Clemons; three daughters, Lynda Butts of Gerrardstown, W.Va., Vicky Peterson and Dawn Frick, both of Martinsburg; a sister, Panda Kontos of Pittsburgh; two brothers, Dave Clemons of Pittsburgh and Tom Clemons of Bath, N.C.; seven grandchildren.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Willliam C. Crowe will officiate. Burial will be in Rosedale Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.

Glennie M. Bowers

FALLING WATERS, W.Va. - Glennie M. Bowers, 61, of Falling Waters, died Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2000, at Western Maryland Hospital Center in Hagerstown.

Born Feb. 25, 1939, in Hagerstown, she was the daughter of the late Paul D. and Catherine V. Kidwell Benner.

She was a cook at Martinsburg Christian Academy.

She was a member of Shenandoah Bible Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Edgar Lee Bowers Jr.; two daughters, Teresa A. Richard and Sherry L. Smith, both of Hedgesville, W.Va.; two sons, Gregory L. Bowers and Todd R. Bowers, both of Hedgesville; 12 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Friday at 12:30 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg. The Rev. Donald B. Smith will officiate. Burial will be in Pleasant View Memory Gardens.
