Gardenhour-Richardson


Susan H. Richardson and Capt. Joseph E. Gardenhour were married Saturday, Sept. 23, 2000, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Smithsburg.

The bride is the daughter of Marvin and Pat House of Appomattox, Va. The bridegroom is the son of Richard and Pat Gardenhour of Smithsburg.

The bride is a 1992 graduate of Appomattox County High School and received a degree in criminal justice in 1998 from Community College of the Air Force. She is a special agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.

The bridegroom is a 1988 graduate of Smithsburg High School, a 1994 graduate of Middle Tennessee State University with a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science, and received a master's degree in aeronautical science operations in 1998 from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Fla. He received a commission in 1994 as a second lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force. He serves as chief of quality assurance at Ellsworth Air Force Base, S.D.

Heaton-Barber


Charity Snyder Barber and James Andrew Heaton were married Saturday, Jan. 29, 2000, at Dalgren Chapel in Middletown, Md.

The bride is the daughter of Daniel and Linda Snyder of Chambersburg, Pa. The bridegroom is the son of Benjamin Heaton of Chicago and the late Joyce Heaton.

The bride is a graduate of Chambersburg Area Senior High School and Wilson College in Chambersburg, Pa., and the College of Southern Maryland in La Plata, Md. She is employed as a registered nurse by the office of Dr. Jack Wilkenfeld in Fairfax, Va., and by George Washington University Hospital in Washington, D.C.

The bridegroom is a graduate of Bradley University in Peoria, Ill., and University of Chicago Law School. He is employed as the assistant general counsel by Ernst and Young LLP in Washington, D.C.

They live in Leesburg, Va.




Chaney-Lochbaum


Kathleen Sue Lochbaum and Richard Bryan Chaney were married Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, at Saints Peter and Paul Greek Orthodox Church in Frederick, Md.

The bride is the daughter of Charles and Wanda Lochbaum of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Richard and Joy Chaney of Hagerstown.

The bride is a 1993 graduate of South Hagerstown High School, received a bachelor's degree in social work in 1997 from Shepherd College and a master's degree in social work in 1999 from University of Maryland at Baltimore. She is employed as a foster care worker by Washington County Department of Social Services.

The bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of North Hagerstown High School and attended Frostburg State University. He is employed by Phoenix Color in Hagerstown.

They live in Hagerstown.

Jennie Louise Crawford and William Louis Shepherd II were married Saturday, July 15, 2000, at City Park in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Lorinda Bates Crawford of Hagerstown and Ronald Crawford Sr. of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Mary Shepherd of Ridgeley, W.Va., and William L. Shepherd of Cumberland, Md.

The bride is a 1994 graduate of South Hagerstown High School and Washington County Career Studies Center, where she studied culinary arts. She is employed as an RA by Anita Lynne Home Inc. in Hagerstown.

The bridegroom is a 1992 graduate of Fort Hill High School. He is employed as a residential coordinator by REM. Md. Inc.

Melissa Dawn Carder and Richard Thomas Trovinger were married Saturday, Aug. 19, 2000, at Living Word Worship Center in Williamsport.

The bride is the daughter of Ronald and Sharon Carder of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Dennis and Lucinda Trovinger of Hagerstown.

Bambi Jean Smith and Blaine Edwin Nye were married Friday, Oct. 6, 2000, in a backyard wedding at the home of the bridegroom's grandparents.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Keplinger of Maugansville. The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Barry E. Nye of Hagerstown.

They live in Hagerstown.




Loewenheim-Miller


Heather Marie Miller and Adam Michael Loewenheim were joined in marriage Saturday, Aug. 5, 2000, at Walkersville United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of David and Melodie Miller of Hagerstown. The bridegroom is the son of Pete Loewenheim of Hagerstown and Nancy Moonstarr of Annapolis.

The bride is a 1996 graduate of Williamsport High School and received a bachelor of arts degree in psychology and two minors, music and Spanish, from Western Maryland College in May. She is employed as a preschool teacher and a substitute teacher.

The bridegroom is a 1998 graduate of North Hagerstown High School. He is a U.S. Marine with Marine Corps Security Forces at Subase Bangor, Wash.

They live in Silverdale, Wash.




Carnell-Tourney


Beth Alyson Tourney and Robert Eugene Carnell II were married Saturday, June 24, 2000, at City Park in Hagerstown.

The bride is the daughter of Greg W. and Donna M. Tourney of Greencastle, Pa. The bridegroom is the son of Vicki and Richard Frizel of Berkeley Springs, W.Va., and Robert and Wanda Carnell of Crystal Springs, Pa.

The bride is a 1997 graduate of James Buchanan High School and attended Shippensburg University. She is employed at Citicorp Family Center.

The bridegroom attended South Hagerstown High School. He is employed full-time as an assistant manager with London Fog and part-time at AC Moore.
