e-LYNXX signs deal

By STACEY DANZUSO / Staff Writer, Chambersburg

CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - A Chambersburg technology company announced Wednesday it is entering into a $40 million contract with a Texas energy firm.

The deal could mean annual sales of $40 million to $80 million for e-LYNXX Corporation, an electronic commerce and procurement company owned by William Gindlesperger.

Gindlesperger is also president and chief executive officer of ABC Advisors in Chambersburg.

The Texas firm Pantellos has selected e-LYNXX's printLYNXX as its electronic procurement system for the energy industry, said Doug Harbach, vice president of marketing at e-LYNXX.

Harbach said the system will handle all of the print-buying needs for the energy exchange, which includes 21 partners right now.

"In a nutshell, Pantellos and e-LYNXX entered into a partnership where printLYNXX will be offered to the members of the Pantellos exchange," he said.

Harbach said the exchanges are cropping up in different industries because it gives partners the power to conduct procurements through one entity and buy things in a larger volume at a discount.

Harbach said printLYNXX is a success because it allows customers to obtain customized items, something many other electronic procurement programs don't do.

He added that the contract is a bonus for Chambersburg residents because it continues a 25-year employment tradition by ABC Advisors at its e-LYNXX outgrowth.

The company is constantly looking for qualified candidates to add to its staff to meet the increasing needs, Harbach said.

"For us sitting in Chambersburg, this continues 25 years of stable business employment for persons in this area," he said.
