HCC upsets Aquinas



NASHVILLE, Tenn. - Hagerstown Community College hit 5 of 6 free throws in the final two minutes to score a 96-87 victory over No. 12 Aquinas in a junior college basketball game on Saturday.

Eric Branham came off the bench to score 22 points, including 8-for-8 from the free throw line to lead HCC (11-2). Gebront Gaddy added 14 points, going 6-for-6 from the field.

HCC led 45-37 at halftime but Aquinas rallied for a 53-49 lead early in the second hafl. HCC then went on an 19-11 run, sparked by Gaddy's eight points.

Corey Tabron added 16 points, Keith McKnight scored 12 points and Brandon DeShields chipped in 11 for HCC.
