Eagles finish third at Max Horz tournament



BERKELEY SPRINGS, W.Va. - Daniel Lord won the 140-pound weight class as Hedgesville finished third in the Max Horz Jr. Wrestling Tournament at Berkeley Springs on Saturday.

Hedgesville scored 177 points to finish behind Sherando (192) and Northern Garrett (183).

Hedgesville had three second-place winners - Kevin Ballam (112), Jared Hess (130) and John Dunham (171) - and two third-place winners - Bryan Moats (145) and Justin Snyder (152).

Berkeley Springs' Richard Stootler finished third at 189 after losing his semifinal bout against two-time Maryland state champion John Hayhurst of Southern Garrett.
