THURMONT, Md. - Scott Rice had 13 points, six rebounds and six steals as No. 9 North Hagerstown broke out to a 19-point halftime lead and cruised to a 58-38 victory over Catoctin Tuesday night in the Monocacy Valley Athletic League.

Evan Medley led all scorers with 17 points and added 10 rebounds for the Hubs (3-1, 3-1). Tavis Green had eight rebounds. Evin Miller had 14 points for the Cougars (0-3, 0-2).

Waynesboro (1-5, 0-3) got only five free throw attempts, converting on two. In comparison, Biglerville made 15 of 28 attempts from the line and outscoring the Indians 32-18 in the second half.

HYNDMAN, Pa. - Will Whiteside scored 14 of his 16 points in the second and fourth quarters while coping with foul trouble to lift No. 10 Southern Fulton.

The Indians (3-1) stumbled in the opening quarter of each half, but stuffed Hyndman, outscoring it 13-2 in the second quarter and put the game with a 24-10 run in the final eight minutes.

Marshall Mills had 16 points and Andrew Hendershot added 12 for the Indians, while each finished with six rebounds.
