Teen killed in accident



GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A Hanover, Pa., teenager was killed in an head-on collision Monday morning when she lost control of her car on an Antrim Township road, police report.

Krista Danner, 19, of Hanover, was pronounced dead at Waynesboro Hospital at 8:36 a.m. Monday, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The driver of the second vehicle, Jack Bragunier Sr., 56, of Greencastle, was transported to Waynesboro Hospital for injuries. He was listed in fair condition Monday night.

The accident occurred at 7:37 a.m. on Pa. 16, just east of Hollowell Church Road, police said.

Danner was driving in a 1995 Geo Metro west on Pa. 16 when she lost control of her vehicle and crossed the center line, police said.

The car crashed into Bragunier's 1993 Dodge truck, which was traveling east on Pa. 16, police said.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts and Danner's airbag deployed, police said.

Personnel from the Rescue Hose Company in Greencastle and Squad 2 from Waynesboro, with assistance from Medic 200, extracted the drivers from their vehicles.

The scene was closed for several hours while members of the Reconstruction and Identification units conducted investigations, police said.
