Bartlett to address Navy intelligence graduates

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Rep. Roscoe G. Bartlett, R-Md., is scheduled to give the keynote address to graduates of the Naval School of Intelligence in Dam Neck, Va., today.

Bartlett is a senior member of the House Armed Services Committee and its Subcommittee on Military Personnel.

"Our national security needs have dramatically changed, but are perhaps more, not less, challenging in the post-Cold War world," Bartlett said in a news release. "The increased threat of rogue nations and terrorists requires us to provide our military the support it needs to remain the finest fighting force in a world that remains dangerous.

"It is an honor to be invited to meet and speak to some of the Navy's best and brightest junior intelligence officers," Bartlett said.

The approximately 50 graduates of NIOBIC have duty orders that will take them to postings as Naval intelligence officers all over the world.
