Board president re-elected



CHAMBERSBURG, Pa. - The Chambersburg Area School District Board of School Directors re-elected its current president and vice president to one-year terms at its monthly meeting Wednesday night.

D. Eugene Gayman was re-elected president and Penny Stoner was elected vice president on 5-3 votes.

Board member Thomas Orndorf was also nominated for both positions.

"I appreciate your confidence and will try to be fair," Gayman said after the elections.

Member Fred Rice was also re-elected to a three-year term on the Joint Committee of the Franklin County Career and Technology Center, as was Wayne Elliott to the Chambersburg Area Wage Tax Board.

Michael Finucane, Stanley Helman, Craig Musser and Penny Stoner were approved as the board's members to the Joint School Committee of the Franklin Learning Center. The alternates remained the same for the one year terms and included members Harold Fosnot, Robert Helman, Tom Orndorf and Fred Rice.
