MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Matt Piper had 23 points, including two 3-pointers, to lead James Buchanan to a come-from-behind 53-52 victory over Waynesboro.

The Rockets (1-2, 1-0 Mid Penn) overcame a 13-point third quarter deficit against the Indians (1-1, 0-1) in the league opener for both teams.

Andy Ryder added 13 points for JB. Seth Scott led Waynesboro with 15 points and Brian Carroll added 14.

WARFORDSBURG, Pa. - Tussey Mountain broke open a tie game in the fourth quarter by hitting 10 of 11 foul shots down the stretch to pull away to a Sideling Hill victory.

Southern Fulton (1-1, 0-1) owned a 34-26 lead at the half until Tussey Mountain sophomore Aaron Chamberlain scored 19 of his game-high 26 points in the second half, including four 3-pointers.

Will Whiteside and Marshall Mills finished with 12 points each for the Indians. Mills had nine rebounds while Andrew Hendershot had six points with 10 rebounds.

Martinez finished with 19 points and 11 rebounds while Diggs had 15 points. Aaron White also scored 15 for the Vikings (3-0).
