Here are some of the calls we have received lately:

"For the lady who lives in Maugansville with the blue car. You need to get your flag fixed or take it down and put a new one up. It is a disgrace to the U.S."

"Come on Democrats, you lost it. Stop spending the taxpayers' money. Get a life. We the people are sick of it. Jesse Jackson, go home!"

"I am calling about the Christmas music that is being played on 95.9 FM, WYII. It is very relaxing and enjoyable to listen to. Everybody should listen to it."

"Now that the hand counts of the ballots have been discontinued, it is of interest to the general public to know how the voting scheme was perpetrated. Once Democrats got their hands on the ballots, they declared invalid all of the votes where the punched holes were incomplete."

"To the County Commissioners, no more money to the Board of Education, no more animal shelters. Give to the Free Clinic to help all ages, young or old."

"Al Gore doesn't need a team of lawyers, he needs an intervention team to discuss concession with him. If he truly cares about the will of the American people, then he will heave the polls that reflect the people's willingness to accept Bush as their president."

"Does anyone know what I can do about people hunting across my yard, in a corn field? I have called the Department of Natural Resources and they said that there is nothing they can do about it. I am getting tired of hearing all those gun shots."

"In response to the person who said that Grinch and his brother stole the election and hopes that they have bad luck. I think you better think about that a few times because if they have bad luck then the country has bad luck, therefore, you have bad luck. Have a good day."

"I have a question about the person complaining about the lack of signals on the interstate and people not giving the right-of-way. Are you talking about people, or are you talking about the police? I can't figure this out because I see that the police violate this more than anybody else."

"I agree, wholeheartedly with the person who said that Grinch and his brother stole the election. It is plain to see that Ms. Harris was promised a seat somewhere in his Cabinet. Gov. Bush will never be my president because of the bad dealings in Florida along with the fuzzy math."

"Looks like the stadium is dead. Not enough support from the elected officials. Pretty soon the stadium will join City Light and 1st Urban Fiber on skid row. I guess us taxpayers get a rebate for saving $15 million. Don't hold your breath."

"I am calling about the terrible crime that happened in Noland Village. My heart goes out to this poor woman and her two children. Please call and let me know if a fund is going to be set up for the children's Christmas. I know what it is like to be without a parent at Christmas time and for a child to be without their mother."

'To the person who said that the Grinch and his brother stole the election. You are just contesting it, they haven't stolen it yet."

"I was wondering if anyone out there has a little catalog from Harriet Carter, where you order gifts. I need the address or phone number. Please leave a message on my machine, if I am not here. My number is 301-739-8718."

"Free parking downtown, wow that is really nice and greatly appreciated. But they want you to do your shopping downtown, considering there are really no good shopping stores downtown. The couple of stores that are there, don't have the things you really need or are too expensive for some people. Why don't they get some decent stores downtown and then maybe we could have some nice shopping downtown."
