Re/Max Central Atlantic Region honored Matthew Ridgeway, of the Re/Max Real Estate Group, as Sales Associate of the Month for August in the Central Atlantic Region.

Ridgeway has been a real estate professional in West Virginia's Eastern Panhandle for 14 years.

Re/Max has recognized him as its top producing agent in the state.

Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center of Maryland


FREDERICK, Md. - Dr. Nathan Wei recently presented a lecture entitled, Osteoporosis: Current Concepts in Diagnosis and Treatment, at the Altoona Center for Clinical Research. Wei is a board certified rheumatologist and clinical director of the Arthritis and Osteoporosis Center of Maryland in Frederick.

Also, Registered Nurse Sheila Delauter was an invited participant recently in the Enbrel Nursing Advisory Board at the American College of Rheumatology meeting in Philadelphia. The meeting was held to develop educational programs on using biologic agents to treat rheumatoid arthritis. Delauter is the center's director of clinical research.

BOONSBORO - Reeders Memorial Home has recognized associates of the month for October and November.

Tammy Wright, a certified nursing assistant in the nursing department since 1996, was Associate of the Month in October.

Rose Virts, a member of the laundry department since 1993, is Associate of the Month for November.

AAA Travel


AAA Travel in Hagerstown has announced that Susan Plumley has joined its staff as a travel agent.

Plumley, of Hagerstown, previously worked in the Frederick office.

She is a certified travel counselor, a designation earned by completing a 12-course program.

Williamsport Retirement Village


WILLIAMSPORT - Williamsport Retirement Village has appointed Dr. Cynthia Kuttner-Sands as its associate medical director.

She will support the entire health care team at assisted living and the nursing home in addition to continuing to provide medical care to residents of Williamsport Retirement Village.

She is also medical director for the Extended Care Facility at Washington County Hospital.

City Hospital


MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - City Hospital has welcomed Dr. John Blanco, a diagnostic radiologist, to its staff.

Blanco, who is certified by the American Board of Radiology, will practice in the hospital's radiology department.

4-Star Athletic Complex


WILLIAMSPORT - Three employees of 4-Star Athletic Complex in Williamsport recently received fitness education in Baltimore.

Justin Kelbaugh and Clayton Atkinson both received personal training certificates.

Kellee Gulk received a certificate in aerobic kick boxing.

Cedar Ridge Children's Home and School


WILLIAMSPORT - Bonna Brown, food service director at Cedar Ridge Children's Home and School Inc. in Williamsport, received the Maryland Dietary Manager of the Year award at the fall workshop in Ocean City, Md.

Brown began working at Cedar Ridge as assistant cook in 1980 and became food service director within 10 months.

She oversees food service for WCRH radio, Cedar Ridge Adventures and Cedar Ridge's residential and school programs.
