City man dies in truck crash

GREENCASTLE, Pa. - A Hagerstown man was killed Tuesday when his tractor-trailer ran off an Antrim Township road, Pennsylvania State Police report.

Thomas Mongan, 51, was pronounced dead at Waynesboro Hospital Tuesday evening, police said. The cause of death was a heart attack, an autopsy revealed Wednesday.

The accident happened around 3:35 p.m. Tuesday as Mongan was driving north on Pa. 11 and moved into the center lane and then swerved off the right side of the roadway, police said.

The 2000 Freightliner Truck traveled about 150 yards north, parallel with the road, into a wooded area before coming to a rest, police said.
