Hunter rescued in mountain woods

An unidentified hunter who had a medical problem was rescued in the mountains by Clear Spring ambulance and fire crews Saturday afternoon.

The Hagerstown man was about a mile and a half into the woods when his hunting partner walked to get help, said Clear Spring Ambulance Deputy Chief James Miller.

Rescue crews accessed the area off Lanes Run Road and were able to drive about halfway there on a logging road, Miller said.

The man's injuries didn't appear to be life-threatening, he said.
