"102 Dalmatians" (G) - A live-action sequel to the 1996 live-action movie, 101 Dalmatians, Glenn Close again stars as Cruella De Vil, a fur lover recently released from prison who wants to make a coat out of Dalmatian puppies. Cruella scours the streets of Paris, trying to kidnap enough puppies for her coat in this sharp comic adventure. Also starring Robert Gudiguian, Joan Gruffudd, Alice Evans and Gerard Depardieu.

"Unbreakable" (PG-13) - Unbreakable is a riveting story shared by two men: David Dunne, the sole survivor of a devastating train wreck who finds himself miraculously unharmed, and Elijah Price, a stranger who proposes a bizarre explanation. Bruce Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, Charlayne Woodard, Robin Wright Penn and Spencer Treat Clark star.

High School Piano Examinations

Maryland State Music Teachers Association will sponsor the 22nd High School Piano Examinations in cooperation with Maryland Department of Education.

The examination will be given throughout the state during April for piano students in the ninth through 12th grades who are homeschooled or who are in public or private schools. Participants need to be residents of Maryland who will study piano on a regular basis during the 2000-2001 school year.

Ten minutes of memorized playing time is required from three periods of literature. Music can be from early intermediate to advanced levels.

Passing students will be awarded a certificate of achievement. A report of the examination will be placed in their permanent record folder. School credit also is available with permission from the school principal.
