Transplant follow-up

In the Monday, Oct. 30, Herald-Mail, there was a story about Tom Clopper of Shady Grove, Pa., and his sister, Debbie Repp of Williamsport. Clopper needed a kidney. Repp gave him one. They had their surgeries Sept. 22 at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore. Both are doing well.

The story mentioned that a fund had been established to help Clopper with the expense of prescription medications not covered by insurance - $4,000 to $5,000 per month.

Here's some good news: An auction Friday, Nov. 3, raised more than $17,000 for the Clopper fund.

And more good news: Clopper's wife, Lori, gave birth to their second child, a son, Ethan Hunter, Saturday, Oct. 28.

If you'd like to help, send donations to Tom Clopper Kidney Fund, in care of First National Bank of Greencastle., P.O. Box 8, Greencastle, Pa. 17225.
