HIGHTSTOWN, N.J. - Mercersburg's girls team finished second and the boys team finished third at the Mid Atlantic Prep League Championships, held Wednesday.

Boys Team Scores: Blair Academy 38, Lawrenceville 47, Mercersburg 64, Hill 84, Hun 138, Peddie 146.

Mercersburg Individuals: 8. Andrew Fazekas, 16:54; 10. David Posner, 17:11; 14. Ross Weller, 17:21; 15. James Cathro, 17:23; 17. Brandon Secrest, 17:28; 24. Anselm Berlit, 17:54; 32. Bryan Stiffler, 18:43.

Girls Team Scores: Lawrenceville 30, Mercersburg 42, Peddie 58, Hill 102, Blair 135.

Mercersburg Individuals: 2. Maureen Glah, 19:33; 3. Molly Malone, 20:19; 7. Jill Priewski, 21:14; 14. Kristi Demartino, 22:52; 16. Rachel Nicholson, 23:00; 26. Jennifer Smith, 24:15; 29. Hillary Wade, 25:32.

Sabricio Kos and Stephen Byrkit scored as Highland View Academy defeated Shenandoah Valley in in the HVA tournament.

Eduardo Bollati had an assist, while Wil Iverson made six saves for HVA (10-5-2).

FREDERICK, Md. - Kim Henry scored off an assist from Lindsey Weaver as St. John's at Prospect Hall defeated Towson Catholic in the semifinals of the Interscholastic Athletic Association of Maryland tournament. The final is Sunday.

Lindsey Weaver had five saves to earn the shutout for the St. John's (16-5-1).

* COLLEGE VOLLEYBALL


SUMMERVILLE, W.Va. - Three Shepherd College players were named to the all-WVIAC team.

Cassie Leonard and Heather Niedermeier were named to the first team. Tina McAllister, of Williamsport, made the freshman team.
