Kenneth E. Hause

Kenneth Elwood Hause, 83, of Hagerstown, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Coffman Nursing Home.

Born July 11, 1917, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Raymond and Barbara Ernst Hause.

He retired in 1987 from Pepsi Cola Co. after 25 years of service.

He was a member of St. Mark's Lutheran Church in Hagerstown.

He was a member of Eagles 694 of Hagerstown and Elks Lodge 378 of Hagerstown.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Irene E. Hause; a son, Larry E. Hause of Greencastle, Pa.; seven granddaughters; and five great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, Wayne A. Hause; a sister, Gladys Pound; and a brother, Donald A. Hause.

Services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. David B. Kaplan will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Wednesday from noon to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.

Hubert L. Souders

Hubert Leroy Souders, 88, of 10913 Roessner Ave., Hagerstown, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born April 16, 1912, in Mount Lena, Md., he was the son of the late David and Ellen Shaw Souders.

He retired in 1976 from Western Maryland Railway Co. after 42 years of service.

He attended Virginia Avenue Church of God, where he was a member of God's Wonderful People Sunday School Class.

He was a member of Brotherhood of Locomotive and Enginemen and the Appalachian Trail Conference.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Myrtle Douglas Souders; three sons, Richard L. Souders, Robert L. Souders and Ronald L. Souders, all of Hagerstown; three sisters, Olive S. Graham of Hagerstown, Mabel S. Wolfe of Wolfesville and Ann S. Sapp of Florida; two brothers, Merle Souders of Wichita, Kan., and Leon Souders of Mercersburg, Pa.; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three sisters, Lana Wagner, Mary Brunner and Beulah Rowe, and four brothers, John Souders, Elmer Souders, Joe Souders and William Souders.

Services will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. A. Paul Harne will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




E. Garnetta Perrott

E. Garnetta Perrott, 86, of 1041 Benjamin Place, Hagerstown, died Saturday, Oct. 28, 2000, at Coffman Nursing Home.

Born April 29, 1914, in Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Oscar and Bessie Morgan Worthington.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Roger Perrott, in 1999.

She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, JoAnn Litten of Hagerstown; a son, John Richard Perrott of Clear Spring; two grandchildren, Tammy Young of McConnellsburg, Pa., and Dan Litten of Halfway; four great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Evans.

Services will be Monday at 2 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Robert S. Barton will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




John E. Henneberger

John Edwin Henneberger, 88, of 1048 View St., Hagerstown, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born May 21, 1912, in Hagerstown, he was the son of the late Alfred Garfield and Mary Elizabeth Pound Henneberger.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Edna Krouse Henneberger, in 1980.

He was employed by Harper and Row Publishers, retiring in 1976.

He was a member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was a Sunday School Treasurer.

He was a charter member of Hagerstown Suburban Kiwanis.

He is survived by a son, John Edwin Henneberger II of Harrisonburg, Va.; a grandson, John Nolen Henneberger of Richmond, Va.; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Elizabeth Henneberger, and a brother, George Richard Henneberger.

Graveside services will be Tuesday at 11 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery, 600 S. Potomac St. in Hagerstown. The Rev. Edward H. Heim will officiate.

The family will receive friends Monday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd. in Hagerstown.

Jesse L. Simpson

HOLLOW ROCK, Tenn. - Jesse Lee Simpson, 79, of Hollow Rock, died Friday, Oct. 27, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born June 1, 1921, in North Carolina, he was the son of the late Lewis M. and Eva Moody Simpson.

He was a construction worker.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II.
