Tim Salvagno scored two goals Wednesday to lead North Hagerstown to a 5-2 victory over Catoctin.

Dustin Showalter, Kyle Williamson and David Miller each scored a goal for the Hubs (14-1) while Mike Brooks had two assists and Luke Mongrain added one for North . Kenneth Hinchcliffe and Ben Whitney both scored for Catoctin.

JV: North Hagerstown, 8-0 North finishes season undefeated

Mercersburg Academy 2, St. James 0

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Kevin Walsh and Per Teigelack each scored a goal and Jack Herlong had an assist as Mercersburg (4-5-4) shut out St. James.

Walkersville 1, South Hagerstown 0

WALKERSVILLE, Md. - Darin Stull scored the only goal while goalie Andrew Lebo recorded his third shutout of the season for Walkersville (7-7-1, 4-4-1).

Scott Barish had 11 saves for the Rebels (4-10, 2-7).

Walkersville improves to 7-7-1, 4-4-1.

Middletown 1, Thomas Johnson 0

MIDDLETOWN, Md. - Caleb Masser scored the only goal for Middletown (7-6-1) shutting out Thomas Johnson (7-4-3).

FREDERICK, Md. - Liz Brokaw scored a goal and Marta Merkle scored on a penalty kick and had an assist as St. John's at Prospect Hall (13-5-1) shut out Park.

St. John's outshot Park, 39-4.

Goalie Michelle Burdette had three saves for the winners.

Highland View 3, Spencerville Adventist 0

Highland View finished their season 13-6 defeating Spencerville 15-10, 15-1, 15-13.

Christy Bennett had nine service points and five aces, Laurelle Byrd had five kills and six service points, Monica Jackson had six service points, Lauren Nudd had 13 service points and 12 aces and Bonnie Strahle had five kills and six service points for Highland View.

North 3, Catoctin 0

THURMONT, Md. - Nicole Morgan had six kills and 15 assists to lead North Hagerstown to a 15-7, 15-0, 15-9 sweep of Catoctin in the MVAL.

Casey Breslin had six kills and three blocks, while Lauren Anderson had five kills and two aces for the Hubs (8-4, 4-3).

JV: North 15-7, 16-14, 15-7.

New Life 3, Grace 0

Lauren Durbin had nine kills and seven blocks, Stephanie Anthony had seven kills and four blocks and Heather Kendall had 19 assists for Grace Academy in a 15-11, 15-8, 18-16 loss to New Life Christian in the MDCC tournament on Tuesday.

ORBISONIA, Pa. - Christin Polak scored the only goal for the Blue Storm

Amy Shaffer had nine saves for Mercersburg (0-11-2).

* FRESHMAN FOOTBALL


Boonsboro 35, Brunswick 14

BOONSBORO - Derek Wisner had 14 carries for 186 yards, two touchdowns and 12 tackles to lead Boonsboro. Tim Kellinger had a touchdown and rushed for 96 yards for the Warriors (2-5), while Sean Rose had a touchdown, Brad Wetzel also had a touchdown and 35 yards receiving and Sean Gregg kicked a 31-yard field goal.

North Hagerstown 22, Williamsport 0

WILLIAMSPORT - Garion Reddick and James Cook each had a touchdown and John Kline added a touchdown and an interception to lead North to their first win (1-5).

Wiliamsport 28, North Hagerstown 16

WILLIAMSPORT - Delvon Brown rushed for 327 yards on 33 carries and scored three touchdowns to lead the Wildcats. Derrick Keith and David Bennett both scored touchdowns for North.
