POTTSVILLE, Pa. - No. 1 Chambersburg lost to Conestoga Valley 15-11, 15-11 in the finals of the Pottsville tournament, held Saturday.

The Trojans won seven of eight games in pool play before defeating Easton 15-4 in the quarterfinals and Holy Name 16-14, 11-15, 15-9 in the semifinals.

Lori Wilkinson had 49 kills and 18 blocks in the tournament. Steph VanBrakle had 120 assists, Sarah Kriner had 44 kills and Heather Ranck added 35 service points and 22 kills.

Chris Lantz scored off an assist from Journey Nicodemus for the Warriors (6-5-1, 4-3-1).

Nick Schlepp scored off a Michael Buzard assist and Luiz Araujo scored unassisted for the Knights (6-6-1, 5-3-1).

MERCERSBURG, Pa. - Chris Balaban made 13 saves as Mercersburg (3-5-4) tied Bullis on Saturday, stopping a long losing streak vs. Bullis on Homecoming weekend.

BETHESDA, Md. - Maureen Glah finished seventh with a time of 21 minutes, 11 seconds in the Division I race at the 30th Annual Georgetown Prep Classic.

James Cathro was Mercersburg's top finisher in the boys race, coming in 15th in 17:54.
