The Kaldys

Alexander and Ruthann Kaldy celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Sept. 30, 2000.

The Kaldys were married Sept. 30, 1950, by the Rev. J. Sathmary in Hungarian Lutheran Church in New Brunswick, N.J.

They have two daughters, Joanne of Columbia, Md., and Dr. Patricia Kaldy of Charlotte, N.C. They have one grandson.

Mr. Kaldy retired from Mack Trucks Inc., where he was an engineer.

The Mosers

Arlene E. and Archie G. Moser Jr., lifelong residents of Waynesboro, Pa., were honored on their 50th wedding anniversary with a celebration Saturday, July 29, 2000, at the Savoy in Waynesboro.

The event was hosted by their children and spouses, Ellen and Barry Brown, who live near Smithsburg, and Kenneth and Stephanie Moser of Woodbridge, Va.


About 100 relatives and friends from Florida, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and Virginia attended the celebration.

The Mosers were married July 22, 1950, at First Evangelical United Brethren Church of Waynesboro, now Faith United Methodist Church, by the Rev. Miller S. Schmuck of Chambersburg, Pa.

Mrs. Moser is the daughter of the late Harry and Myrtle Summers. She retired in 1993 from Waynesboro Area School District, where she worked in the payroll department for 26 years.

Mr. Moser is the son of the late Margaret E. Moser and the late Archie G. Moser Sr. He retired in 1989 from Landis Tool Company after 40 years of service as a machine inspector and specifications analyst.

They have six grandchildren.
