Nelly C. Doub

MYERSVILLE, Md. - Funeral services for Nelly C. Doub, 97, of Myersville, who died Monday, Oct. 9, 2000, will be held today at 11 a.m. at Ricketts Funeral Home, 504 Main St., Myersville. The Revs. Carroll A. Doggett Jr. and Monroe Wright will officiate.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Oct. 11, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.




Betty M. Anderson

A memorial service for Betty Marie Anderson, 95, of Trovinger Mill Road, Hagerstown, who died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2000, will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church in Chewsville. The Rev. John Schildt will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Bethel United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 37, Chewsville, MD 21721.




Patricia A. Waltrick

Patricia Ann Waltrick, 66, of 721 Summit Ave., Hagerstown, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Washington County Hospital.

Born Feb. 9, 1934, in Security, Md., she was the daughter of Catherine Snyder Hoffer of Hagerstown and the late Ignatz Hoffer.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Bob" Waltrick.

She was a doll maker and crafts person.

She was a Catholic.

She is survived by three sons, John J. Waltrick and Glenn O. Ford, both of Hagerstown and Charles B. Waltrick of Marlowe, W.Va.; a sister, Matilda McCoy of Hagerstown; and a brother, Michael Hoffer of Hagerstown.

Services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

There will be no viewing.

Memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1037 Haven Road, Hagerstown, MD 21740.

Arrangements are by Minnich Funeral Home, 415 E. Wilson Blvd., Hagerstown.




Eddy R. Henry

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. - Eddy Ray Henry, 53, of Martinsburg, died Tuesday, Oct. 10, 2000, at his home.

Born Feb. 4, 1947, in Blount County, Tenn., he was the son of the late Floyd William and Bessie Lee Vaughn Henry.

He was a licensed practical nurse.

He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda Gibson Henry; three sons, Jeffrey L. Henry of Madisonville, Tenn., David R. Henry and Christopher L. Henry, both of Martinsburg; a sister, Mildred Young of Oak Ridge, Tenn.; a brother, William H. Henry of Knoxville, Tenn.; a grandson; and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Dorothy Jean Kavanaugh and a brother, Robert L. Henry.

Services will be at Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville. Burial will be in Piney Grove Cemetery in Tellico Plains, Tenn.

Local arrangements are by Brown Funeral Home, Martinsburg.




Ruby L. Summers

HEDGESVILLE, W.Va. - Ruby Lee Rude Summers, 67, of Hedgesville, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore.

Born Feb. 25, 1933, in Pineville, Ky., she was the daughter of the late Claude Clouse and Dora Pritchard.

She was the owner and president of Rude Carrier Trucking Corporation.

She was a member of Independent Bible Church.

She is survived by her husband, Jefferson E. Summers; two daughters, Paulette L. Payton of Hamilton, Va. and Brenda C. Hartmann of Maumee, Ohio; two sons, James E. Jennings of Okeechobee, Fla. and Edward M. Rude Jr. of Falling Waters, W.Va.; a stepson, Robert Rude of Hedgesville; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a stepson, Douglas Rude; two sisters; two brothers; and a step-grandson.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Independent Bible Church. Pastor Mark D. Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Rest Haven Cemetery in Hagerstown.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, 327 W. King St. in Martinsburg.

Ethel J. Brown

PAEONIAN SPRINGS, Va. - Ethel J. Brown, 65, of Paeonian Springs, died Wednesday, Oct. 11, 2000, at Loudoun Hospital Center in Leesburg, Va.

Born Oct. 30, 1934, in Harpers Ferry, W.Va., she was the daughter of the late Lee L. and Martha Fleming Reynolds.

She provided domestic services for the Loudoun Mutual Insurance Co. in Waterford, Va. for the past 36 years.

She was a member of Sandy Hook United Methodist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Russell Eugene Brown Sr., whom she married Feb. 11, 1954; four children, Victoria Butler of Lovettsville, Va., Russell Eugene Brown Jr. and Keith Dwayne Brown, both of Waterford and Jeffrey L. Brown of Harpers Ferry; three sisters, Estell McGaha of Glen Burnie, Md., Anna Lee Mills of Yarrowsburg, Md. and Janice Elliott of Knoxville, Md.; four grandchildren; nieces; nephews; cousins and great-cousins.

Services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. at Brown Funeral Home, Broadway at Locust in Lovettsville. The Rev. Jim Hamrick will officiate. Burial will be in Union Cemetery in Lovettsville.

The family will receive friends today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Friday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
