Entries available for Funkstown art contest
FUNKSTOWN - Pictures & Pages and The Paisley Print in Funkstown will host an Autumn Kidfest and Art Contest.
Area children are encouraged to come into the store at 32 W. Baltimore St. in Funkstown and pick up an entry form. The theme for the art contest is "Pictures of Fall".
The guidelines are as follows: entries are limited to one per child and must not exceed 11 by 14 inches in size; medium: anything on paper - including watercolor, pastel, crayon, collage, colored pencil, etc.; all entries must be received by Saturday, Oct. 21; all children entering the contest must be in one of the two age categories - ages 5 to 8 or ages 9 to 13; there will be first, second and third place winners in both categories - six winners total. The prizes are: first place - $40 Pictures & Pages gift certificate and winning artwork will be custom framed by The Paisley print; second place - $25 Pictures & Pages gift certificate and winning artwork will be custom matted by The Paisley Print; third place -$15 Pictures & Pages gift certificate and winning artwork will be custom matted by The Paisley Print.
