RU-486: Who should avoid taking it?
According to FDA guidelines, women exhibiting the following characteristics should avoid taking Mifeprex:
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> They have been diagnosed with a tubal pregnancy.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> A contraceptive is in place within the uterus.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> They have chronic failure of adrenal glands.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> A history of allergies to mifepristone, misoprostol or other prostaglandins.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Bleeding disorders, or current blood-thinning therapy.
HEIGHT="6" ALT="* "> Current long-term therapy with corticosteroids, including cortisone and corticosterone.
