FREDERICK, Md. - A Frederick County, Md., man was charged with attempted murder Tuesday in connection with a shooting at a party in August.

Divay L. Jackson, 21, of 1411 A4 West Key Parkway, was being held Wednesday on $500,000 bond, according to District Court in Frederick.

Ryan Andrew Dewitt was shot at 13140 Hiney Road in Keymar, Md., on Aug. 20, the Frederick County Sheriff's Office said.

A hospital spokeswoman said that Dewitt was released earlier this week.

Police said a fight broke out at the party, several shots were fired and party-goers scattered.

Jackson was charged with attempted second-degree murder, use of a handgun in a violent crime, first-degree assault, second-degree assault and reckless endangerment.

The Sheriff's Office on Tuesday charged two other Frederick men in connection with the fight.

Detective Keith Bowerman alleged that Keith Elliot Kintz, 20, of 1200 Ardmore Court, 2C, assaulted two people with a metal pipe.

Kintz was charged with two counts each of first-degree assault and second-degree assault. Information about his bond was not available.

Andrew Ernest Sewell, 20, of 1413 W. Key Parkway, C-4, was charged with one count of reckless endangerment. He was being held on $25,000 bond Wednesday evening.

Sewell is charged with firing a handgun into the air during the fracas, Bowerman said.

Sewell was being held on $25,000 bail, according to the District Court.
