CRS apologizes for mailing mix-up

Community Rescue Service said Tuesday he wanted to notify CRS subscribers about a recent mix-up with a mailing campaign.

CRS Vice President Michael Nye said the company that does the mailings failed to remove the names of residents who currently subscribe from its database. He said that as result, those who have sent in their subscriptions were sent a reminder notice that was to go out only to those who hadn't subscribed this year.

He said those who have paid should disregard the letter.

He said about 4,000 residents in the downtown area are affected.

Nye apologized for the mix-up and said the problem would be corrected.
