"I hope everyone read the County Commissioners' wish list for the state delegates. I hope that the next election that we take appropriate action. Almost all of those initiatives was something for the county to spend more money and encourage overdevelopment by making the existing residents pay. As far as the fire tax goes, that might be all right, but we have been told a while ago that for a number of years now that this is why we have all this wide open gambling in this county. I suggest that if we are going to have fire tax, I think we should get rid of the gambling. There have been many lives ruined, homes lost and bankruptcies because of the gambling here. Some people can't control themselves."

"In regards to the school bus accident that happened on Md. 77 by the Smithsburg bus. I can sympathize with that driver. One day I was coming down that road with my two grandchildren on a wet day and didn't' realize it and before I knew it I was sliding sideways on that curve. I thought something was wrong with that curve at that time. So apparently that is a very bad curve and I would advise everyone to obey the traffic signal there. That is the sign that says to go the speed limit that it suggests."

"If the SPCA isn't to be blamed for the cattery proposal, then how come they were the only testimony in favor of the proposal at the Planning and Zoning Committee meeting?"
