Gonder Insurance Agency

Sandy Buchanan has joined Gonder Insurance Agency, an affiliate of My Bank/First United Bank & Trust, as its commercial insurance agent for Hagerstown, Frederick, Md., and Martinsburg, W.Va.

Buchanan, of Frederick, has more than 25 years of insurance experience.

She previously worked for an insurance agency in Frederick.

Hood College

FREDERICK, Md. - Five people have been named faculty members at Hood College.

They are Elizabeth Kyle of Monrovia, Md., visiting instructor of mathematics; Joy Ernst of Chevy Chase, Md., assistant professor of social work and director of the social work program; and Frederick residents Kevin Bennett, assistant professor of chemistry, Charlene Hillal Gill, associate professor of education and John Thompson, religion instructor.


Sharon Nutter, fiscal associate II, has been named Employee of the Month for September at Roxbury Correctional Institution.

Nutter is being recognized for her work as supervisor in the Inmate Accounting Department.

She has developed and implemented a system with Excel computer software that has significantly automated and expedited the process of posting inmate cash receipts.

Tri-State Community Health Center

HANCOCK - Dr. Matthew Hahn has joined the staff of Tri-State Community Health Center in Hancock, a nonprofit organization serving patients from Washington County, Fulton County, Pa., and Morgan County, W.Va., for more than 14 years.

Hahn is a family practice physician who sees patients of all ages.

Hahn moved to the area in July from York, Pa.
